Hello and welcome to industry insights – the series where we get all sorts of mental health insights, from all sorts of industries!
Here you will find interviews with an array of people from a range of different careers and sectors, with the aim of finding out about the specific mental health challenges, and what they do to manage them.
What mental health challenges does the TV industry present?
To find out, we spoke to former Coronation Street actor, CBeebies Presenter, Gorgeous FM host and Mind Ambassador Dan Westwood.
In this interview, we spoke about a number of things, including:
Mental health in the TV industry, struggles with depression and anxiety, love island, mental health awareness, tips, campaigning and more.
We also asked Dan about his Mental Health Monster and you can watch the whole thing by clicking the video above!
Jamie McAnsh is the most positive and inspirational person we have come across so far. He woke up one morning and was completely paralysed from the waist down and has since overcome EVERY challenge that has been put in front of him and more!
Here he tells us how his attitude has allowed him to climb a mountain on his bare hands, run a successful business, play a range of sports at an international level, raise astronomical amounts for charity and bounce from challenge to challenge. We will be very surprised if you don’t take some sort of motivation or advice on board from this interview. You can book Jamie for a motivational speaking gig here: https://www.jamiemcansh.com/
